June 11 – International Day of Solidarity with Marius Mason & All Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners

Against another year of state encroachment, against the restriction of free movement under the auspices of “safety,” against the continued brutalization of our friends in prison, we call for a renewal of solidarity on June 11, 2021: International Day of Solidarity with Marius Mason & All Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners. For 17 years, June 11th has been an occasion for celebration, mourning, and revolt. It has been a moment to breathe, to remember those fallen and those in cages, to remind ourselves of why we remain committed to the Beautiful Idea of anarchism. Through our letters, demonstrations, fundraising, and solidarity attacks we keep the beacon lit for those who have given years of their lives for their conviction that the State is a horror against which we must wager our lives.

“None is free until all are free!”- feminist anarchist anti-prison rally

When: 07.03.2021 at 3 pm
Where: on the parking lot in front of the prison in Chemnitz

Prison is a means for the state to deal with social problems. It is supposed to “resocialize” you. But you have hardly any opportunity for self-determination and you are isolated from the rest of the society. Every third person ends up there again after release, because it doesn’t help prisoners, but to secure the status quo. Prison is a violent and monotonous place. The authoritarian penal system reinforces discrimination and economic exploitation.

If you also think that prison cannot be a solution for individual and social problems, then come with us to Chemnitz Prison on 07.03.2021. There we want to get the prisoners a bit out of isolation, inform ourselves together about the conditions in prison and show our solidarity.

Call: Prisons to community gardens and evacuate the camps!

Rally on 20.11.2020 at 4 pm at the Lager Bremer Straße
5 pm at Hammerweg (Fabricestr.)
Comes with wheels, wheelchairs, mobile bases!

The jails must perish! In Germany the social peace is secured with prison walls behind which people are locked away like every where else. They do not serve the protection from „dangerous criminals“. Criminal law, the courts, the police, the prosecutors, the prisons ensure exploitation and oppression. They do not serve „re-socialization“: outside of society people are not educated to act socially. Prisons stigmatize, hurt, humiliate and dehumanize.

The two from pretrial detention in Dresden are free again

Photo 03.19.2019: Vehicles of the electrical company Lehmann in Bad Lausick. This company is involved in the construction of the Zwickau prison.

The Soko Linx was a big celebration to find left-wing criminals. It seems to follow one of its predecessors the Soko MAG (Militant Autonomous Violent Offenders) from the beginning of two tausend. It is not particularly successful, as taz reports in an article on November 11.

Update Andreas Krebs October 2020

Sad news reaches us these days – the appeal process against the mad judgement of 24 years against Andreas was declared closed after only 2 short trial days. All requests for evidence, including an expert witness of Andreas’ defense counsel, were not admitted. Andreas could not attend the trial for health reasons. We remember: In the first instance Andreas was sentenced to 24 years because the court did not want to recognize the act of self-defense as such. Although there is an exonerating video of the situation, the court of appeal has now confirmed the 24 years of unconditional imprisonment. This therefore comes close to a death sentence.
