We call on you to join us at the prison in Chemnitz on February 9, 2025 from 2:00 p.m.
Nele has been in the prison in Chemnitz since last week. She is one of the seven anti-fascists from the Budapest Complex who turned themselves in to the authorities all over Germany on January 20. She, like other anti-fascists, is accused of attacking Nazis in Budapest on the so-called “Day of Honor” in February 2023. Since 1997, thousands of neo-Nazis have gathered in the Hungarian capital every year on February 11 for the so-called “Day of Honor,” which commemorates the attempted breakout of the besieged Nazi troops in 1945. In recent years, the event has become one of the most symbolic events of the Hungarian and European neo-Nazi scene.
Now Nele, like a few others, is facing extradition to Hungary. In Italy, a decision has already been made in a similar case: Italian citizens will not be extradited to Hungary due to the prison conditions and the lack of rule-of-law standards. Germany decided differently in Maja’s case and extradited her to the inhumane prison conditions. We are now increasing the pressure: do not extradite our friends here – extradition to Hungary is not an option!
That is why we are going to the Chemnitz prison on Sunday, February 9, 2025, starting at 2:00 p.m. ❤️🔥
