Since the end of May, Andreas Krebs has finally arrived in Germany. Both the Italian and German authorities had delayed this for a long time.
After being in the JVA Munich Stadelheim until June 5, he is now in the JVA Berlin Moabit until mid-July.
In fact, Andreas was brought from Munich to Berlin by a collective transport without medical assistance, despite his poor state of health. Although the authorities were aware of the seriousness of Andreas’ health, he received no medical care in Munich except for his daily ration of heavy medication.
Andreas is currently being examined in Moabit and a lot of formalities are being completed. Afterwards, it will be decided whether Andreas should be sent to Berlin-Tegel or to a prison in Brandenburg.
Andreas spent a large part of his life in various correctional facilities throughout germany. To start a new life, he emigrated to Italy with his partner. But things were to turn out differently. In a physical confrontation, Andreas had acted in self-defense. The victim died several days later in hospital due to unexplained circumstances.
The court ignored the self-defense and sentenced Andreas to 24 years in prison on May 6, 2022, at which time he had already been in jail for over 4 years.
After Andreas had exhausted all instances in Italy, he had been waiting for a long time for the result of the extradition request to Germany.
Already in 2019, Andreas was found to have malignant tumors and diagnosed with cancer. However, his exact medical condition was concealed by the authorities for a long time and not made transparent to Andreas or his lawyer. In a report from ABC Vienna, this is explained in more detail. It is unbelievable how cruel the fucking prison system is and how long Andreas has had to suffer.
